About us

We’ve founded civicsquare to fill a gap in the teaching of civics in New Zealand. Our courses teach people about Cabinet, Parliament, the courts, public policy, law-making, the state sector, elections and everything in-between. We think that knowing what government looks like, and how it actually works, is important. And it can be a big help in your job.

Why attend?

So why do people come to our courses? In short, because government and politics is such an interesting and rewarding area to learn about. Political, legislative, administrative, and judicial decisions affect people and organisations in so many ways. Understanding how and why those decisions are made makes for a rich learning experience.

Short courses

Our 1-day short courses are the perfect way for people to expand their working knowledge of what government in New Zealand looks like, and how it actually works. The courses are held in Wellington’s CBD. Short courses will also be held in Auckland during 2012. Course sizes are kept small to ensure that people have a quality learning environment.
